Our Gigacrete supplies were delivered. Windows were delivered. This last week the track was laid, see pics...I don’t understand all of it but this is the track for the walls. Hopefully they will go up this week!
After we came home from my parents, we got to relax at home and enjoy Thanksgiving vacation. It got poured last weekend but we only make it up the hill once a week so we had only seen the pictures in the daily updates from our contractor. More progress this week! Especially considering there's a concrete shortage. Our footings got poured on schedule. They got it all filled in with sand and rocks and whatever else. This week had its ups and downs. The construction crew packed up and quit early Monday because of the ash falling and they didn't want to get caught in another fire (we don't blame them at all). This week our last dead trees were felled! Yay! We kept two sections of logs to add to the kids play area but the rest of the trees were cleaned up and taken away, yay. This week brought a lot of fun. We went up to our property on Sunday to check out the work by the arborist.
