Potty training!

We’ve taken some big steps this week. Cas started potty training and Ari started Sound of Music practices. Both went really well. Cas is doing well enough we can go back to our regular schedule and he’s able to go places again. Those two things took up most of the week and Ari continued her Read Aloud Revival reading challenge and has been reading a bunch every day. Every 5 days of reading aloud at least 10 minutes she earns a reward (this only happens for the month of January). The first reward she earned was a trip to our local frozen yogurt shop and the second was a board game night that I didn’t get any pictures of.

Cas was happy to benefit from Ari’s reading.
Ari with her giant cup of froyo (she didn’t finish it and that is just fine).
Ari doing some reading.
Cas helping with one of his favorite jobs: laundry.
Cas got this awesome Hubelino set for Christmas that turns your duplos into a marble run. It’s amazing.
For Cas’ first day potty training, we stayed in the kids room all day…Ari was gone to practice, we made this epic train track and had fun with it for at least an hour.
Our amaryllis bloomed!
We wore the matching outfits we got for Christmas on Friday. Cas loves his “butterfly” shirt.
Ari made this great sculpture with our rainbow blocks.
We stayed home from church Sabbath so for our own Sabbath School we did a retelling of Creation week with Duplos.
For Cas’ first outing of potty training, we went to the park. He did awesome! No accidents and he told us when he needed to use the bathroom! Plus it was a gorgeous day and we all enjoyed getting outside.

Games played this week:

  • Pokemon Sword -Ari
  • KOTOR II: The Sith Lords -Me
  • Secret of Mana -Caleb and I
  • Picture matching game -Cas
  • Wildcraft -The whole family for game night

Books read:

Have a wonderful week!
