So…since we’re all stuck inside and such anyway…I stretched out our Easter learning for 2 weeks instead of one this year. It’s always fun to mix things up. So this week we worked through Jesus last week before the crucifixion starting at the anointing of his feet by Mary Magdalene through his trial before Pilate. We also got outside for a little longer than just around the apartment once at the beginning of the week and once during a break from the rain at the end of the week. Getting out into green spaces is so important right now.

That was our week in a nutshell! Cas also is starting to drop his nap. He skipped his nap twice this week which made things interesting since that is the time I try to do school with Ari.
We’ve also gotten further developing our island of Kwarantin in Animal Crossing. Caleb, Ari and I have built houses, Cas is still in a tent but we made him tools to use. We’ve built the museum, which is Cas’ favorite place to explore. We’ve also had our first new immigrant move to the island and our general store is built and our clothing store is under construction. We also have all the fruit except pears so if anyone wants to invite us to their island and has pears…we’re happy to bring any other fruit seeds to trade!
Anyways, next week is Ari’s spring break so we can pause on the school and she wants to try making a mask so we’ll do some sewing lessons. We’re also going to try doing a little family Seder to learn more about Passover and the last supper. We’ll also pull out our resurrection eggs and have a week of egg hunts. What are you doing for Easter this year?

Lovely pictures, it’s so nice when kids discover nature. I used to love having butterflies land on me when I was little.

Miss you! We have been doing one resurrection egg each evening at story time and the kiddos are taking turns opening the egg of the day. Also, our backyard lawn was a mess when we moved into our rental and the kids are enjoying experimenting with mud in the many bare patches!
