Learning about the rainforest

This week was box week! The main box the kids worked on together was on the rainforest. Ari’s Atlas crate was on Italy and Cas’s Koala Crate was on dinosaurs and the Raddish crate was on Mexican food and was delish! As always, box week is a hit. Fun activities with zero prep for me and the kids have a blast. It was a good week to be box week because we were adjusting to a new schedule with Caleb teaching in person now and the dog needing to go to doggie day care. It was also a little rough because we still don’t know what’s happening with our house and…we still don’t have any rain. So having a fun box week to fall back on is good.

Ari reading some new to us books passed on by my aunt.

I am thankful for the sunshine and clean air, I am thankful for box week, and I am thankful for the library and youtube so I can research how I want to landscape our property when we finally get to return to it. Ari has decided she wants rabbits so she is also using the library to find books to research rabbits.

The week was tough. Caleb was a lot more busy this week and so couldn’t help as much with the kids and around the apartment. Schedule changes are always hard on Cas. Hopefully next week he’ll adapt to this schedule and hopefully we can keep it for a while. Waiting for things is hard. And…we make the best of it. We find other things to focus on. Speaking of…I voted and I’ve designed my Christmas cards 🙂 that just leaves next years calendar to design. So I have good things to focus on. And…next week is Reformation Day! I’m planning some fun both for my class and my kids at home so that will be good. What are you all looking forward to?

  1. Grandma and Papa R had a most wonderful time with you, Caleb, Cas, Ari and Jedi yesterday! We hope and pray your family is able to have a more restful and peaceful week this week. All of you go so hard. We are thankful for the energy and strength God gives each of us for each day. We are looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas time, even though it will be much different this year.
