After last weeks “box week” we dove back into our school books this week. Math, handwriting, reading and spelling all had their place. And we still haven’t finished our science advent calendar kit…so we did a science exploration almost every day. We also did our first art and bells lesson since before Thanksgiving so those were fun to jump back into. The weather has also been unseasonably warm and dry (like seriously, we’ve had 2.5 inches of rain so far this winter…last year was a dry year and had 7 inches by now…normal is 25 inches so we are very much in trouble) so we got outside as often as we could. The kids are becoming good hikers. They hiked 5 miles last weekend and 4 this weekend.

Overall it was a good week. We are praying for rain, praying for our country and praying for another good week. This one should end with Caleb and I getting our first dose of the vaccine. As teachers, it is our turn and we’re scheduled for Friday! See you next week!
Thanks for the post. I always enjoy them.
