More delays :,(

This week was rough for me. Found out at the beginning of the week that…they discovered some of our house materials were missing from the order. They contacted the company and they are going to reimburse but…the pieces are made to order…not in stock anywhere so…it’s a 3 week wait on those materials. That plus the rain delays mean we’re now looking at the house being finished end of April which was another downer for me because we’d been hoping it would be done by spring break. Oh well, at least with this delay everything doesn’t grind to a halt. There is plenty of other work to be done. This last week they got all of the cross bracing for the first floor finished and they’ve started putting the sub-roofing on the second floor rooms that are finished. The welder was also there when we went to visit so the kids and I played among the log pile at the back of our property so they wouldn’t be blinded. They still got a quick tour of the house and the welder compensated them by giving them a fun tour of his metal shop afterwards. So some disappointment but…things are still moving along.
