Life’s been busy. It’s been a month since my last post! We finished off Kenya and visited Saudi Arabia and are now halfway through India! Saudi Arabia and India have included more discussions about different customs, religions and treatment of women and girls. Ari is certain she wouldn’t last a week in those cultures. There wasn’t a lot at the library or kids videos online about Saudi Arabia, but my aunt came to visit one weekend and she had spent some time in Saudi Arabia as a missionary when she and my uncle were newlyweds so she could give us some firsthand accounts of life there. India has been easier to learn about. Lots of books and videos and my husband loves Indian food. We’ve been reading about Amy Carmichael and we tried out painting our faces like some of the pictures in the books. Plus, my parents just traveled to Nepal for two weeks. I know Nepal isn’t India but it’s very close and we’re looking forward to learning a bit about the culture over there when they come back.
My schedule at the school changed to where I teach right before lunch time. The kids have taken to packing us a lunch once or twice a week so we can eat with daddy.
As far as progress on our house, the electrical is finished. We finally got the downstairs sliding glass door installed. We have a meeting on site with a cabinet person this week. Stucco is scheduled to go on in 3 weeks. There’s been a delay to the fire sprinkler install but our project manager is working on it. So…things are happening. Also, aphids have discovered our fruit trees but my brother-in-law gave me a few tips and we’ve definitely lowered their numbers to a manageable amount. I think we also have our drip system all installed so the yard is going well.

Hopefully it won’t take me a month to post again. We are enjoying life. How is your March going?
I was missing your blogging! I love seeing what you’re up to! Looks like lots of busy, family fun as usual 🤩
