We had fun with apple week! We bought several varieties of apple, compared and taste tested them. We learned about the fruit of the spirit and made apple tree collages. We played catch with an apple, tried apple crisp and apple pie, and ate caramel apples. We read books, our favorites were 10 Apples Up On Top, Ten Red Apples, One Green Apple and Johnny Appleseed: A Tall Tale. For science we’ve also been learning about volcanoes and this week we made our volcano of plaster of paris, painted it, and erupted it. Definitely a hit.
With Ari we learned about a few more California animals like the quail, garibaldi and gray whale. Then we made and ate vegetarian pozole and mexican hot chocoalte.

Overall another fun week. Not quite as many activities because we were busy but still good times. Next up is Nest week. Any thoughts or favorite books?
That looks fun! The volcano would be a hit here too! My kids like “Flap Your Wings” for a nest related book.
