Us week

Life was a little more exciting this week because Ari took a tumble and managed to break 3 fingers. Thankfully all in her left hand. But that has meant many hours waiting at clinics, radiologists and consults and we aren’t done yet. We’ve also had lots to do at our house: cleaning up drywall dust, priming walls, getting scaffolding taken down, attaching door extensions…and other tasks. None of those are finished except the scaffolding coming down, but they’re all in process.

We had u for us week and…I didn’t really get any pictures because I was orchestrating everything. We played the freeze dance game to music, tried to identify objects in a bag by feel (with and without a sock on our hands), identified things by taste, and by smell while blindfolded. We also used all 5 senses while exploring popcorn. And we read books. The kids favorites were all the Eric Carle books, The Eye book, Hello Ocean, My Five Senses and Good Thing You’re Not an Octopus!

We also started a new science unit on mammals. We learned what makes something a mammal and a little about classification of animals and reviewed food chains.

Next is D for Dinosaur week. Any suggestions?
