Dinosaur Week

This week was dinosaur week! We forgot to take a picture of our books but we had a lot of good ones! Favorites included When Dragons Hearts Were Good, How do Dinosaurs Eat Their Food?, What Really Happened to the Dinosaurs?, and Three Little Dinosaurs. Ari’s favorite was Dinotopia and I can’t blame her. The art in those books is amazing! Besides books we dug fossils, made clay dinosaurs, drew dinosaurs and made a dinosaur terrarium. Ari also finished her lapbook on her California native tribe. We also went to our local fall festival, played some mini golf, painted ceramics and had fun at church and Pathfinders.

And the house is moving along nicely. God is getting it done for us. The patio is poured and dry, the last few things that needed drywall got installed and mudded, painting is done…except the patches waiting for drywall mud to dry…cabinets, light fixtures and flooring are all scheduled. Still waiting on HVAC to give us a schedule but it’s coming together 🙂 Our next weeks are Octopus (and ocean) and then Thanksgiving! Any suggestions?

  1. We love dinosaurs and ocean learning! If you check out aquarium websites at Academy of Science of Monterey Bay Aquarium, they might have some curriculum resources or activities for kids to do. Also live cams are fun ways to learn.
