Summer 2023

We’ve had a fun and busy summer! I became an Auntie for the first time, which is fabulous. We did several trips, we made progress on our house. We met our kids summer goal of seeing a movie, playing mini golf, visiting seaquest and bonding the bunnies. The kids read and reviewed enough books to get a free book from Barnes and Noble. Cas helped me make fruit leather more than once and Ari learned to bake several varieties of bread. We picked fruit, did VBS and kids had their faces painted. We had several different people over for dinner on Tuesday nights and swam with various friends who own pools. It’s been a good summer.

House update is that trim is up everywhere except the round windows and even the largest round window has most of it’s trim finished. All the doors have been painted and they all have doorknobs.

We also feel like a Hispanic house as we’ve had an alligator lizard move in (his name is Steve). He pays rent by eating the spiders and other bugs in our house…and we have noticed a significant decrease in our resident pest population. He’s also attempted to copy a gecko and climb on the walls. He needs a lot more practice in that arena.

How has your summer gone?
