We’ve been working hard! We had to get the interior all ready for the drywall to be installed. So we were spraying foam insulation on the downstairs ceiling, and stuffing insulation in gaps in the walls and marking the studs. Now the drywall is in but still needs to be inspected and then taped and mudded. So for my birthday my family came to help at the house. We decided to paint…of course we ended up with a heat wave and couldn’t get all the painting done but we made great progress. We got the taping done, the whole house primed and the front of the house painted. So maybe next weekend we can finish the painting. I already knew how to tape things off and paint with brushes and rollers…I have now learned to use an airless paint sprayer. Also my sister and her husband took 7 loads to the dump for us!

Returning to Paradise 
Great progress! Can’t believe you guys are doing so much in the midst of this horrible heat wave. We reached 110 the other day. Happy belated birthday and nice that your family came to help.
Temps will go down dramatically so can’t wait for cooler weather.

It was triple digits here too…but that was the weekend family could come to help. We finished the painting this weekend with cooler temps and everything went so much faster when it’s cooler.
